Celebrating the inventor of CASIO CALCULATOR, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN (1706-1790)

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) was a politician, inventor, and businessman in the United States. After his success in the printing industry, he entered politics and made a significant contribution to American independence. He is also famous for revealing that lightning is electric in his experiments with kites. His portrait is depicted on the current US $ 100 bill. He symbolizes the modern human image of the 18th century: diligence, inquisitiveness, rationalism, and participation in social activities. He is praised as one of the founding fathers of the United States.

He was born as the 15th of 17 siblings and lived in extreme poverty when he was young. He started working at the age of 10 and this poverty was his driving force. He founded America's first tabloid and America's first public library with outstanding ideas and business flair. These were huge successes and made him stand out as a young businessman. Among them, the one that raised his name was the calendar with sayings and lessons. Invented to educate the poor people who could not buy books, this product was a huge hit and brought great profits.

On the other hand, Franklin invested his own money to continue experimenting and inventing. He widely invented lightning rods, balloons, parachutes, submersibles, airmail, stoves with good combustion efficiency, bifocals, rocking chairs, etc.

What was his inexhaustible driving force? It may be due to his poor experience when he was a boy.
